Our story

It all started with the desire of our founder and director, Michael Fredrik Scolari, to help people at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. At the time, Michael had been living in Odesa for six years. When the full-scale invasion began, he was not afraid and did not leave the country. Instead, he stayed behind to focus all his efforts on helping those who needed it most.

Initially, Michael joined a local organization that delivered food to the elderly. This initiative was only the beginning. Later, another foreigner joined the team, a military paramedic with 40 years of experience. The team gradually expanded, and over time it became apparent that in addition to food, there was another urgent need – the need for medicine.

People often denied themselves treatment by choosing to eat. This prompted the team to expand its activities. Another doctor from the United States joined the team. That’s how regular visits with doctors to villages in Odesa, and later Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, where there was no access to medical services, began.

When the situation with medical facilities has stabilized a bit, there is still a need to provide people with prescribed treatments. Access to pharmacies is still difficult in frontline villages, and our team visits 2-3 times a week to provide the necessary assistance. In Odesa, we continue to provide assistance with vouchers for medicines for vulnerable people.
